i got a bit emotional a few days ago, while watching Hook. hadn’t seen it in years. it’s a stronger film than i remember it being, and it wasn’t just poignant because of the recent loss of Robin Williams. Parts of it feel relevant to the idea of growing up, and losing that version of yourself that believed in good beating bad, and having fun and believing that anything is possible.
how is it acceptable, and when did it become acceptable to pull someones dreams from under their feet?
usually its people who failed in accomplishing their own, that take some delight in stepping on the potential of those who have the opportunity of chasing it and making it a reality.
